How to open Password protection for .pdf files and folders.
How do I open Password protected zip for .pdf file? I cannot see any link in the software that allows me to open the file.
Thanks!
- 7 years agoHi there, if there’s password protection on the zip file, the Dropbox site or app won’t be able to open the file in question.
Hope this clarifies matters!

To expand further on Jay's reply, you'll need to download the PDF file to your computer or mobile device and open it in a stand-alone PDF application.

I have a 7zip password protected folder with several also password protected pdf files with selective sync unchecked, (double protection and not in the Dropbox folder in my PC). I cannot open them with the dsektop app, buy they can be opened from my android smartphone without having to download, just download and install the RAR app from Google play. it works fine!! It's a pity that Dropbox doesn't provide this option for the Dropbox desktop App.
