Hey MWoodsMusic, thanks for joining the discussion here.
I'm afraid that there's no other option apart from upgrading your computer's OS to a supported desktop environment.
in addition, you should be able to access your Dropbox account and files normally through a web browser.
I wish I had a better answer than this, Mike.

Hi guys
My dropbox has stopped working/syncronising and can't find it in ''Finder'' on my mac no longer. My mac is an old one and it has an operating system OS 10.12.6 and I got this email recently from dropbox: ''
''Hi Morten, Dropbox is ending support for macOS 10.12 today. Users on unsupported operating systems will no longer be able to sync to Dropbox on desktop and will need to use our web version or our iOS or Android apps to access Dropbox.''
I don't seem to be able to upgrade my operating system via app store or anywhere else (software upgrade is not showing is not optional), so my questions are these: Is it possible to upgrade my operating system anyway, or do I actually need a new computer to still be able to use dropbox!? (Which is kind of crazy and far out if that is the case!?). Is there anyway to use it online, so that my documents will still be updated and can I then login from different devices/computers and do these devices also need an upgraded operating system in order to work? I find this quite insane I must say. I have 2 perfectly working mac books - (from 2010 and 2008 but they work very fine) and find it kind of a ''bully-method'' to operate like this. And of course no access to a living being in support. So bad service!
Does anyone have a solution? How do I make Dropbox work again?
Thank you in andvance - and maybe a recommendation to another filing-system than dropbox that doesn't make use of these bully-methods? Thanks guys

Hi MortenH, I've merged you to this thread to keep similar queries together.
You can have a look over the earlier posts to understand the changes with the system requirements for the Dropbox desktop application, and why they were made.

So what you say is that I do need a new computer?

If your computer can't upgrade to a newer OS, and you want to use the Dropbox desktop application, then you would need a newer compatible device to use it.
