How to stop Dropbox syncing with external drivers

Dear Community Members,

I am a total ignorant with digital tools.

I want to use DropBox only for what I want. Meaning I want to share stuff. I do not want that Dropbox synchronizes with my laptop neither with the external drivers associated with it.

What should I do, please?

    It sounds like you may have enabled the Dropbox Backup feature to backup your external drives to Dropbox. 

     

    If that's so, you can disable it as outlined here and access your backups directly from this page.
