How do I identify my files that cause me to be over the limit?
My husband and I have separate accounts, but share most folders. I keep getting messages to say I'm near/over the space limit. How do I identify my files (separate from my husbands) that cause me to be over the limit. I want to delete some of my files.

You can see more in regards to the account's quota, by visiting your plan page. You should be able to check, what's taking up space for your account.
If you wish to check your shared content, you can do this by visiting your sharing tab, and then choose if you need to remove yourself from any shared content.

Hi Megan
Neither of the pages you suggest tell me which folders/files I "own", that make up my stored space.
It's impossible (on the pages) to know which of my files he shares access, and which of his files I share.
The plan pages say I have 1.9gb Shared Files, using most of my free allocation.
If all the files I'm looking at are his, then why do they take space in my Dropbox.
Or if they are mine (and he can see them), how can I identify then as mine as they could just as easily be owned by him (in his 2TB paid account).Thanks Karen

Hi Karen200, when you're a member of a shared folder -even if someone else shared it with you- you get your own copy of the folder in your own account, therefore it would take up space in both accounts.
As for determining the owner of each shared folder, you should be able to follow the steps mentioned at this Help Center article, and locate if you're the owner, or if it's your husband.
