How can I see exactly how my space is being used?

The Dropbox app says I'm using 13gb of space, but there are only 4gb of files in my folder.

I assume the 9gb (!) discrepancy is hidden backups and automated system files, but I can't seem to find any way to actually check my space. There are no management tools or options.

I'm on a free account, so I can't get technical support. Does anyone know how I can take a look at how my space is being used so that I can clear some of it up?

You can see your usage on this page. Be sure to check your Backups page for any backups that you have saved in your account as well.

That only tells me the total usage though (13gb). It doesn't tell me why there's a 9gb discrepancy between what the site is telling me and what's actually in my Dropbox folder.

I don't have Backups enabled. The Backups page has nothing in there.

Have you used Selective Sync or Download on Demand to remove files or folders from your local drive while keeping them in Dropbox?

The usage shown on the website is accurate. If you're unable to find the discrepancy then you'll need to compare the files that you see on your local computer with those that you see on the website. The website is the accurate representation of the files in your account.
