Smart Sync options are missing on my context menu
I've noticed that my local Dropbox files have not been syncing lately. Normally you just have to "Right-click" on these files/folders and Smart Sync should be in one of the options. Not anymore!

- 7 years agoHi there, if the option isn’t there any more in the context menu on your machine, then the Dropbox desktop application isn’t running or working as it should.Could you check if the app is running, and additionally if the files themselves have any green ticks or other syncing icons?

All my files have green ticks and it says up to date. But still the smart sync option does not show. I have Dropbox Plus.

Could you let me know if you've opted into using it first KarinLomes?
To do this, please go to your desktop app's preferences and navigate to the 'Sync' tab. Do you see the option to enable Smart Sync there?
Let me know what you find!

That's it! It says it isn't enabled. But nothing happens when I click enable.
Thanks so much for the help!

Thanks for the quick reply Jay.
The problem has been solved, restarted my computer twice and then it was working again. Strange but everything is A ok now.
THanks again!
- Jay7 years agoDropbox StaffThanks for getting back to me! If you just upgraded to a plan with Smart Sync, usually a reboot is needed for the desktop app to register the change and provide those options. If this wasn’t the case in your instance, then it might have been a gremlin in the machine, and rebooting scared it away!
