Dropbox keeps trying to sync a file that was moved to another Dropbox location on macOS.
Dropbox keeps trying to sync a file that was moved. No matter what I try to do the syncing doesn't stop for the past 2 days. Running on macOS Sonoma 14.5.

Nothing really worked 😞
The only way to get back to normality was to unlink the Dropbox folder from my Mac, remove Dropbox app completely, delete Dropbox folder and then re-install Dropbox app.

Yes, correct - Dropbox thinks that the file is still there.
Once I place a new file in the Dropbox folder the app don't "see" it because it keeps trying to sync the file which was moved. I also checked online and the new file is not there. Also tried to pause the syncing and resume it again, but it goes straight to try to sync the missing file and not even check for new files.
Thank you.

Thanks for the extra details! Do you still have this file saved on your computer? If yes, can you move it back to your Dropbox folder, wait till the app is up to date and then move it out again?

The file was not removed in fact, the file was just moved to a different location within Dropbox. However this was done while the file was open which I believe cause this issue.

Oh I see. It’s quite possible this caused the issue indeed. Have you closed the file since?
What if you still move it back to its original location and restart your device? Does that change anything?
