Dropbox gives location via links sent

I use drop box for a number of things. I just had someone who has been with me for a while with my drop box tell me he got an exact location from my drop box.

he sent me a picture of my exact location on that file. This is a huge safety issue.

I have an iPhone 16pro

Dropbox version : 402.2.2

Are you referring to the location data that's embedded in a photo? If so, that's your phone or camera that does that, not Dropbox. It's part of the EXIF data stored in photos and is a feature of any modern digital camera.

If you don't want the image location information included when sharing your files, you'll need to edit it out before you share them.
