desktop icons gone
I had to unlink my PC from dropbox yesterday as one large video file wouldn't transfer.
I relink my PC straight afterwards and everything was coming back to normal.
I turn on my computer this...

thanks for reaching out.
I've worked it out - it had to do with the 'fabulous' new function desktop back-up or whatever it's called.
It's not nice the way you guys have implemented this!
Dropbox should NEVER have the authority to change something on my c-drive, you are an App.
This back-up also makes you go over you allowance limit, resulting in Dropbox selling more space in the Cloud $$$$
You can retrieve your desktop from 'Deleted Files' and get everything back, but it is a pain and it should never got to this point.

Would you mind giving me a bit more info on which icons are gone?
Do you mean that your desktop files are gone or actual icons on your desktop, like app/program shortcuts etc.?
Any extra info you can provide or screenshots, would be greatly appreciated.
