The app re-indexes all files after each restart on Mac.
Each time I restart my Mac, Dropbox goes through reindexing of (seemingly) all files in my folder. The Mac's CPU usage goes up and the fan kicks in - it makes the computer slow for at least 15 minutes. It does finally complete, but it would obviously be much better if this did not happen.

Hey Paul C.32, let's see what we can find about this together!
Interesting behavior there. Would you mind clarifying your device's current OS, along with the version of the Dropbox app that you're using?
You can find the version by hovering your mouse over the little Dropbox icon on your menu bar, next to your WiFi.
While we're at it, would you also be able to check the properties of your Dropbox folder, to check how many files you have in there?
Keep me posted, and we'll take it from there!

Hi Megan! Here are my details:
- Sonoma 14.6.1
- Dropbox 212.4.5767
- Files: 5,075 (however, this is lower than it truly is, since I'm not syncing all folders to this computer, and Dropbox's "Online-only" option is on. Also, whenever this problem happens, the Dropbox sync message reads something like "Indexing 51,962 files", so I assume that's about how many files I truly have).
