Just got an email from the dropbox team notifying me that I'll be able to restore all of the files that were missing. Huge thanks to the dropbox team!

I only have one account. The last time I saw them was about a couple of weeks ago. I have 3 other folders containing photos that are still there. The photos that disappeared were all in the Camera Uploads folder.

Hi JSO, if you're not seeing the missing files on the deleted files page, then there's a few possibilities as to why this might be the case:
- They were on a shared folder you don't have access to any more
- The files were deleted outside of the 30 day period
- The files were permanently deleted
Is it possible that any of these would apply to your case?
- JSO2 years agoHelpful | Level 6Hi Jay, the files were in a private folder which I still have access to. I saw the files a couple of weeks ago and the events page doesn't show any actions of deleting those files.

If the files aren't on the events page or deleted files page, and there's no other information on the files being moved, then it means they were permanently deleted. This would mean that even the support team wouldn't be able to recover them, unfortunately.
I'm sorry I can't be more helpful on this matter.

Not sure how that would have happened on my end. Maybe a glitch on dropbox's end? Definitely a freak occurrence as this hasn't happened in 10 years of using db. Anyways, there's always a first for everything. I think I may have saved many of those photos to a hard drive. If not, oh well lesson learned, and maybe someone reads this and learns from this mishap and backs up their stuff on a physical hard drive also. Thanks for everyone's help here on the forum. I guess I'll check back periodically to see if anyone else has this happen to them and finds a solution.
