Word and Power Point Files prepared on office computer do not open on home computer

Word and Power Point Files prepared on office computer and stored in dropbox do not open on home computer.

      Just nothing happens, the cursor shows the usual hand, but the click does not have any effect.

        Do you have Word and PowerPoint installed on the home computer? Are you double-clicking the files in your Dropbox folder to open them? The cursor would be an arrow, not a hand, so I'm confused how you're trying to open them. Can you provide a screenshot?
