Why do I have to re-download online-only files that they once were available offline?
I accidentally toggled all my files (Mac OS) to "online only," and now in order to open any of them I have to download it. This means I have 800MB of files to download, and since it takes an hour or more to download a file of just a few MB large, it would take days to download everything. I don't understand, because these files started as offline files, so why do I have to download everything again? Isn't there some way to make this happen faster?

Hi PineTree101, thanks for posting here!
The initial state of how the files were downloaded doesn't play an important role in this, since at the moment they are currently online-only.
However, you mentioned that "it takes an hour or more to download a file of just a few MB large". Would you mind clarifying the Dropbox app version that you're using on your end?
You can find this by hovering your mouse over the little Dropbox icon on your task bar, next to your WiFi.
Have you tried adjusting your bandwidth limit, to "Don't Limit" based on this Help Center article in order to have the best performance?
