Please can someone help me understand the difference between Camera Uploads and Timeline Photos
Hello. My husband is fed up with me huffing and puffing (and ok screeching) at the computer 😄 I just want to know if the Camera Uploads holds the same photos as the Timeline? I am trying to sync the photos on the timeline to my desktop app but it will only sync the Camera Uploads. On the website there are more photos on my Timeline than in my Camera Uploads. Is there a way to merge the Camera Uploads with the Timeline photos? Ultimately I am wanting to download from everywhere andmerge all my photos in one place and then use an app to find duplicates, sort and organise all my pix. Can someone explain it to me like I'm a newbie please 😄 Thank you!
The timeline, or Photos page, is just a display of all the images from every folder in your account, including the Camera Uploads folder. It's a way to view your images; nothing more.
The Camera Uploads folder is where photos are uploaded when you've enabled the automatic upload feature on your mobile device, or the import feature on the Dropbox client on your comptuer.

Thank you Rich! If I delete an image from the Timeline does it also disappear from the CU folder as well (and vice versa)? Also, if I upload all the photos from my phone, will it automatically skip the duplicates (I don't know which photos I have already uploaded because I have turned autoupload off and on over the past few months).

Yes it does :)
