how can i let a file be viewed but not downloaded

As a basic yser how can I let people view my files but at the same time not download them

  • Hey there (banjo1), please bear in mind that disabling downloads for shared link content is currently available to Dropbox Professional & Business users. If this feature is important to you, then you may consider changing your plan. Thanks!

    Professional and Business accounts, as stated above. The feature is not available on Basic or Plus accounts.

      thanks for the link.  Which of the drop box accounts would enable me to enable view and disable download?

    It needs to be a shared link not shared access as most of my clients don't have Dropbox. I simply want clients to be able to look at the photos in the file but not be able to download them until they have paid. Once paid I can change access (hopefully). Can changing this access be done via the app on a phone?

      Never mind, figured it out, needed create the link first then I could turn download access off/on
