The file does not appear on Dropbox.com on my phone. I can’t check my computer right now but I don’t think it was there either. But it is when I go through Windows explorer

Hey Lotusbeam if you hover over the Dropbox icon in your system tray, what's the Dropbox app's sync status?
Do you see any syncing icons next to your file in the Dropbox folder in your file explorer?

The Dropbox folder in File Explorer does not show syncing. It's not in my system tray. I just noticed that my computer wants to do some updates and shows a syncing kind of icon (but it's not specific to Dropbox), so I will do those now and hope for the best!

You should be seeing a small Dropbox icon in your system tray, Lotusbeam.
If you don't have this icon, it means that the app isn't running on the computer.
Once the updates on your computer are done, please make sure to check that arrow in your system tray by the clock, that shows your hidden icons, in case the Dropbox one is there.
