Dear community

I am able to hide a column on the web excel using my laptop. After refresh, on my laptop the hidden column is hidden away. Same goes when i view the spreadsheet on a shared user's laptop.

The problem comes when i tried to view the same spreadsheet on my Android devices and ipads, the hidden column is not hidden anymore.

Is there anything that i missed out??

Hi @ogoosh, thanks for bringing this to our attention.

Just for clarification, is this visible on the Dropbox preview page, or the Excel app on the mobile devices?

This will help me to assist further!

Hi Jay

After editing on the wed excel, the format is fine on the screen above.

However, on a mobile device, android in this case it becomes like this

The green background is supposed to be hidden column. Some of the hidden columns had their data overlapped. I tried on multiple android and also ipad, same issues

Thanks for the info, the preview in the Dropbox app is not 100% accurate. Does the file preview normally in the Excel app on the phone?

If you download the file and open it in the native app, does it appear normally?

when i download from dropbox the shared excel sheet, and open in a native app in the mobile device, it displays the way it was intended with the columns hidden from the origin

Thanks for the info. As the file appears the same on both the Dropbox mobile app and the Excel mobile app, there isn't much I can suggest, since even the official Excel app is showing the hidden column.
