Can I back up an external SSD on multiple computers?

Can I back up an external SSD on multiple computers?

Hi, I made a backup on my MacBook of one of my external SSDs and every time I connect it to the device it automatically makes a backup to keep it always updated, but I wanted to know if it was possible to synchronize this function on another PC of mine so that when I connect the SSD it does the backup anyway, without necessarily having to do it only on the MacBook. Thanks for your help!

Hey @Franco Spall, thanks for posting your question to our Community.

If you have an external drive backed up to Dropbox via a specific computer, then disconnect the drive from that computer and then connect it to a different one, this should create a brand new backup of the drive.

The original back up folder will only update if the external drive is connected to the same computer used to initiate the back up.

I hope this helps, but let me know if you have any more questions!
